These are called Compounds.They are Noun Compounds and Adjective Compounds.
A Compound is formed from the combination of two or more words.
There are three types of Compound words.--
1)Solid/ without hyphened compound word
2)Hyphenated compound word
3)Separate compound word
1)Solid / without hyphened compound word :
Two different words come together without using hyphen , is called solid / without hyphened compound word.
Ex.- Forehead, forefathers , notebook, etc.
2) Hyphenated compound word :
Two different words joined with hyphen ,is called Hyphenated compound word.
Ex. Half-wit, lift-man, half-way ,etc
3) Seperate compound word :
Two different words written seperately but considered as one ,is called seperate compound word.
Ex. Lady missionary, junk food, smart card, etc.
